First Home Buyers First In at Banksia Grove
Banksia Grove Estate has welcomed its first official residents, first home buyers Daniel and Naomi Short with their two children Jacob 5 and Coby 3.The Short’s purchased a 530sqm traditional home site using the State Government’s shared equity scheme and the first home owners grant late last year and moved into their brand new home three weeks ago. Originally from Wanneroo, the Short’s wanted to stay in the area and saw Banksia Grove as a great place to raise their children. “Education was a big factor in our decision and we were impressed with Banksia Grove’s planned education precinct which will include a brand new primary school and high school”, said Daniel. The Short’s will soon be surrounded by hundreds of new neighbours with record sales at Banksia Grove over recent months boosting this fast growing community. Banksia Grove general manager Tony Naughtin said after years of planning the estate was starting to blossom and buyers would be pleasantly surprised. “We’ve commenced work on our magnificent central park with water feature, children’s adventure playground and scenic walkways through retained native vegetation”, said Tony. Construction has also commenced on a unique ‘smart’ home which will demonstrate affordable, cost effective ways to reduce power, save water and utilise solar passive designs when building a new home.
